Every writer wishes, deep down, that their words could change the world. But Alan Wake, a famous suspense novelist, regrets that wish when he starts living the events of a novel that he doesn’t remember writing.
Cribbing heavily from the stories and tone of Stephen King, Alan Wake is a third person shooter that succeeds at horror by bending reality. The presence of a past Alan Wake narrating his own present, and a malign force beneath his vacation island always chasing him down, end up making this work. Stay away from the DLC though.
